Lumpiang Shanghai: Crispy Party Rolls for Every Gathering
You’ll know they’re perfect when the bubbles form on the wrapper and the dipping sauce goes suspiciously fast.
Ingredients
- 500 g ground pork (or chicken)
- 1 small onion, minced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 carrot, finely minced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 egg
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Spring roll wrappers
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Mix meat, onion, garlic, carrot, soy, egg, salt, and pepper.
- Wrap 1–2 tbsp filling in each wrapper; seal with water.
- Fry in medium oil until crisp and golden. Drain well.
- Serve with sweet chili sauce or banana ketchup.
